Jim is a consistent professional who goes the extra mile to bring a project to a successful conclusion. Jim's vast experience includes:
- Specializing in brokerage management, new home construction, property management, and land development
- Developing residential neighborhoods, shopping centers, and office buildings
- Building residential homes, condominiums, apartment buildings, and office buildings
- Directing the management of shopping centers, office buildings, industrial facilities, and other commercial properties
- Consulting and advising on environmental and ethical real estate matters
In 1973, Jim entered the real estate industry as a sales associate. Three years later, he purchased a partnership in a local real estate company, and in 1989 took sole ownership of J. Theisen, Inc., Realtors.
For 12 years, Jim served on the Board of Directors for Eau Claire-Chippewa Board of Realtors. He was president for two years as well as chairman of several committees. He has also been a director of the Wisconsin Realtors Association and president of the Eau Claire Area Homebuilders.
Jim has served in many capacities on various community committees and events including:
- Director of the Housing Advisory Board for the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire
- President of the St. Patrick's Parish Council
- Chairman of Sacred Heart Hospital Advisory Council
- Member of the Sacred Heart Hospital Board of Directors
- Founder of the Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee
- Coach for Little League and Eau Claire Youth Hockey
